Goddess and Gods
Faerie animals in Celtic theology have the tell-tale sign of their extraplaner origins in their white skin and blood red ears. Incidentily, while not wanting to detract from this painting, I always chuckle when I see an albino rabbit for that reason.
This is a devotional piece, made to the Goddess in her scope as mother-of-all. The red bulbous protrusions are the eruptions of new life after a long dry summer and the first rains have come. It is a painting about finding wonder in the tiniest of insects and the sunsets over the coast as the storm clouds scud in.
