A grolar bear is a hybrid of a grizzly bear and a polar bear. They have become more common in recent years as ice caps melt in Canada's truly frozen north and the polar bears move southwards in search for sustenance. I think I painted the shaman as the personification of adaptation to new challenges. It is an interesting painting for being almost totally encaustic in nature; with the exception of some highlighting using paint, its is entirely wax based.
